as quoted from “how to make steel”: the most precious thing to us is life. we can only live but once, thus, our life should be like this, when looking back, you don’t have to be regretful about those wasted time and shameful about the mediocre life. then till the end of his life, we can conclude that we have devoted our whole life to the most valuable thing in the world----dedication to human’s liberation. these sentences touch me most, and remind me to think about how we should live through our life, and what the most important thing in my life is! looking retrospectively about my past twenty years, lot’s of failures. but i know that the future is in my hand. there is one more important thing in my life is to cherish, cherish the person loves you and you love.

well, to be honest, i don’t think i was such kind of a filial daughter. because all i think about was to get away from then as far as possible, to free myself. i never have the feeling of homesick, even though when i stepped into my home and saw my lost-lost mother. in fact, my heart has been in self-approach.

but, what should i do? it seems strange for me to say “ i love you” to them, because they don’t need those unpractical words, by the way, i’m not good at it. so i decided to concentrate myself on study to repay them, which seems to be passive. but today, one thing happened strengthened my feeling about them.

i have sore throat all these days. i didn’t take it serious, because i think it will recover soon. however, the condition became worse. except headache, fever, runny nose, sore throat, slight tiredness, i was all right. to my disappointment, the latest clinic is being reconstructed, and i have no idea about other clinics. so i tended to my native friends for help, one was no answered, the other is shutdown. the first person hit upon my mind was my sister, who is far away from me. she did all she can to comfort me and give me suggestions. i didn’t realize it how touched i was as soon as i finished my conversation, my mother called me. i’ve been trying to ail myself, but without success, with large drops of tears rolling down upon my check. i can’t remember exactly what’s it saying on the other side, my helpless, lonely heart was saved eventually. in order not to let her worry, i turned off it in a hurry. how uselei was! with the helping of my roommate, i went to see the doctor. and now i’m better.

this small incident teaches me that the most important in our life is to cherish the person you love and the person loves you. my friends, we can only live but once. why not cherish and repay those you’ve owned? don’t regret till we are old!

篇三:英语比赛演讲稿3

Honorable judges, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen:

It is a great honor and pleasure to be here on this beautiful Saturday morning to share with you my sentiments about life and passion for the English language.

About a year and a half ago, I took part in my very first English Speech Contest. When I stood before the microphone with all eyes starring directly at me, I could hardly speak. I stood there, embarrassed and helpless, struggling in vain for the right thing to say. My fears had paralyzed me.

While my passion for English has never changed, I lost my courage to speak in public. When my professor again encouraged me to take part in this Competition, I said “no.” I couldn’t endure yet another painful experience. He looked me straight in the eye and said something that pierced my heart. I will never forget his words. “Look,” he said, “We all have our fears, and you have yours. You could twist your ankle in a basketball game, but then be afraid to ever play again. Running away can never dispel your fears, but action will. A winner is not one who never fails, but one who never quits.”

I spent a whole day with his words twisting and turning in my mind. Then I made the bravest and wisest decision of my life: I would face my fears – and take part in the competition!

As it turned out, my dear old professor was right. Now, here I am, once again standing before a microphone. My heart is beating fast, and my mouth is dry, but most importantly, I have faced my fears -- and that makes all the difference!

  Thank you.

In my picture, there are two lovely rabbits. They are my pets.

Although a lot of people think that children should not have pets at home, because they"re dirty,

Honorable teachers, ladies and gentlemen, and my fellow sutdents:

Good morning! It’s my pleasure to stand here to make a speech. First of all , let me introduce myself. My name is TongYao. I am from Class 2 Grade 7 in ChengGong middle school ! Today , my topic is : "Innovative Thinking"

Have you ever thought that what is Innovative Thinking ? Somebody will said ,"thinking something different !" In fact, it’s not so simple. Have you ever thought how to think something different ? Now , let me explain it to you in detail !

First , we should admit that Innovative ideas do start in one mind before taking on the world. Only in this way ,we have the power of Innovation . For example , the radio, television, telephone and so on, all were developed by scientists . And these scientists all had the ability and courage to think something different . It is a well know fact that Albert Einstein was the mastermind of the nuclear bombs .

Second , we should be good at discovering , and be able to break the conventions. Sometimes, there are a lot of subjects of Innovation around us . But more often we lack the ability of discovering So, only if we be good at discovering and summing up ,we can innovate lly, I want to say , as a middle school student in the new century, we must have the courage and confidence to make innovations.)And we should study hard for development of our country ! Because we are the builders of our motherland !

Honorable teachers, ladies and gentlemen, and my fellow sutdents, according to what I have said above , have you learnt more about the "Innovative Thinking" ? Of course ,you have ! I believe my speech is perfect ! And I also believe that as long as we expand our thinking , we will find something different . That’ s all ! Thank you for your listening!

  Dear classmates,

Every one of us, rich or poor, should at least have one or two good friends. My friends will listen to me when I want to speak, will wipe my eyes when I cry, will take care of me when I am sick, and my friends will go together with me side by side through this journey of life.

As students, we could share more time with our friends. The friendship in our young hearts is pure, fresh and simple. I often feel very lucky to have a lot of good friends. Especially when I had Justin as one of my best friends. Justin was my English teacher from the USA. I met him in 1996 when I was a student who could only speak very little English. Justin was a vivid young man with a bright smile on his face, and he always had his special way to make the class active and attractive. He taught us English by telling stories, playing games, singing songs, and even dancing. I could still remember very clearly that one afternoon when we fin-ished our class, we went to some other classes to sing songs for them, just like what people do in the states on Christmas Eve. It was so interesting and unforgettable. Justin was an excellent teacher, because he taught us not only how to study English well, but also the way to find out the beauty of the world and the way to be angels to others" lives. I know there was

friendship and pure love in our hearts. Facing this valuable emotion neither nationality nor age was important, the real importance lay in faith, under-standing, and care. Justin is the best friend I have ever had, and I know I will cherish those days of staying together with him as the best part of my memory.

a small truth to make life 100%

karamay experimental middle school luo jintao

good afternoon, my dear friends and the honorable judges.

i’m very glad to be here and give you my speech. i hope we all can enjoy the time. now, today my topic is: “a small truth to make life 100%”.

as a young english teacher, i have to face different kinds of students and deal with trivial things every day. life goes on, but sometimes it’s becoming frustrating and i feel very tired. how to make my life become better? i’m always seeking for the answer. fortunately, when i read a magazine one day, i found the truth to make my life 100%. today i would like to share it with you.

now, my dear friends, let’s do an interesting test together and then you will find the secret by yourself! as we all know, there are 26 alphabets in english, a to z. against them we have the numbers 1% to 26%. if a is equal to 1%, and b to 2%, and so on, until z is equal to 26%, then can you guess what can make our life 100%? that is to say, what can make our life perfect?

some of you may suggest “money”. however, after calculating, you’ll find it only comes to 72%. now try a few more. knowledge? yes, knowledge is power! but this time it only comes to 96%. how about love? that only shows at 54%. luck does even worse, only at 47%. though most of us think this is the most important.

then what makes 100%? hard work? closer, 98%. but not exact. now, what on earth can make life 100%? well, every problem has a solution, only if we perhaps change our attitude. yes! only attitude comes out at 100%.

many of the gifts we have been given have been distributed unfairly. we all wish we had the ability of the talented, the money of the rich, and the luck of the beautiful. but none of these matter. there is only one thing we all have equally and can always control even in the worst situations. and that is our attitude.

life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. therefore, attitude is the thing that shapes who you are the most.

attitude is everything. now, my dear friends, please give the world a sunshine smile. change your attitude and enjoy every minute in your life.

  that’s all. thank you!

篇十三:英语比赛演讲稿13

Dream, with each one of us.

Dream is beautiful, it is the bottom of my heart the most beautiful expectations, so the dream also become our long-held beliefs. And my dream is to let my country become strong.

The various kinds of products in delicate Chinese stores, inns and shops inevitably have the sign of “Made in China”。 Even if some people do not speak English, after viewing plenty of those goods, are capable of identifying this high-frequency phrase.

When Mr. Xu mentioned “Made in China” during social science class when explaining concepts, he solely referred to this phrase and wished it could become “Designed by China” in the future in a regretful voice. However, when I heard his words, my heart thumped. It is indeed true that at present, most of the miscellaneous goods are made in China instead of designed by China. For instance, some of my pens have the label of “Designed by Korea Made in China”:“Design by Korea Made in China.

I still remember the indignation from my heart last time when I saw the news that a number of multinational companies made use of the low standard of “Made in China” to produce illegitimate products. From that on, I have a dream. I have a dream that one day those pitiable “Made in China” labels can transfer into “Designed by China” or even “China patent technology”。 Though I am neither a professional engineer, nor a sophisticated designer, I am only a student who has no specialized knowledge about invention. Nevertheless, I always have the dream that there will be less “Made in China” and more “Designed by China”。

Without actions, determinate can only be remote dreams generated from my mind. I said to myself silently, only when I take actions can the dreams become closer to facts. For instance, I should be more focused when having science class, should take some inventive extracurricular activities, should know more about lifetime stories

of renowned inventors should be an active observer, should suggest others to act. Through these ways, the dreams are more likely to become less remote and the pitiful “Made in China” are more likely to diminish.

Unconsciously, I think of the abstract word “patriotism”。 Some “patriots” resist the consumption of Japanese products. Some “patriots” damage Japan manufactured cars. Some “patriots” make humiliating GIFs about Japan. Some “patriots” attack countries that do not admit the China’s sovereignty of Diaoyu Island. The examples are endless. At their points of view, these are demonstrations of patriotism. Nonetheless, these actions may be too impulsive. Probably, it is a better way that we can earn respect from foreign nations via making China a more powerful country in terms of economics politics.

I do not know. But in my heart, I have a firm belief that other countries can respect China genuinely from the change of “Made in China” to “Designed by China”。

Finally,I want to say: We are the hope of our motherland, we should inherit the tradition of excellence, strive to advanced country contributes own strength. Here, I have a kind of inarticulate touched and proud.I for the construction of the Chinese people feel proud, proud of themselves as part of this great country!

篇十四:英语比赛演讲稿14

  Crossing the Sea

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. The title of my speech today is "Crossing the Sea".

An English poet by the name of Rudyard Kipling once wrote in his poem "We and They":

"All the people like us are We

  And everyone else is They

  We live over the sea

While They live over the way

We eat pork and beef with cowhorn—handled knives

They who gobble their rice off a leaf

Are horrified out of their lives."

When these lines first caught my eyes,I was shocked—how could two peoples remain so isolated and ignorant of each other in the past?Today"s society,of course,is an entirely different picture. Those people who used to eat with cowhorn—handled knives might be very skillful in using chopsticks, and those people who used to gobble their rice might be as well have taken to fish and chips.

Indeed, just take China as an example:Our modern life has been influenced by Western style of living in so many ways that it"s no longer surprising to see teenagers going crazy about rock—and—roll, whole families dining out at McDonald"s and even rather elderly people dressed in Apple Jeans.

However, these are only some expressions of the cultural changes taking place in our society today. What is really going on is a subtle but significant restructuring of the nation"s mentality. Just look around.

How many college graduates are ready to compete aggressively for every job opportunity, whereas not long ago they were asked just to sit idle and wait for whatever was to be assigned to them by the government?

How many young people are now eager to seek for an independent life whereas only two decades ago they would rely totally on their parents to arrange for their future?Ask anyone who participates in today"s speech contest. Who has not come with a will to fight and who has not come determined to achieve self—fulfillment in winning the game? And I"m quite certain that if Confucius had lived to see today"s China,he would have been horrified to see young lovers kissing each other in public places in an unreserved expression of their passion.

It is therefore evident that we as descendants of an ancient Eastern civilization are already living under strong inf1uence of the Western culture. But it is not only in China that we find the incorporation of the two cultures.

Take the United States as an example:During the 1980s,in face of the overwhelming competition from Japan, many American companies such as the Ford began to adopt a teamwork management from their rivals, the essence of which, lay at the very core of Eastern culture.

Take the Chinese acupuncture as another example:This traditional treatment of diseases is finally finding its way to the West and hence the underlying notion that illness is resulted from the imbalance between Yin and Yang within the body —— an idea which would strike any Westerner as incredible in the past!

Ladies and Gentlemen,we live in a great epoch when the global integration of economy and the information revolution have brought cultures of the world closer than ever before. We live in a particular era when countries,East and West, find themselves in need of readjusting their traditional values. We live,at the same time,at a critical juncture of our evolution because such problems as ethnic conflicts and regional unrest are increasingly posing a threat to the peace and happiness of the whole human race. To cope with such an era and to embrace an even brighter future,we need to learn to live more harmoniously in a world community which is becoming smaller and smaller.

My dear fellow students, our command of the English language renders it possible for us to gain an insight into Western culture while retaining our own cultural efore,it is our sacred responsibility to promote the cultural exchanges and hence the mutual understanding between China and the rest of the world.

It is my happiest dream that the new generation of Chinese will not only grow up drinking Coca—Cola and watching Hollywood, but also be blessed with the far—reaching benefits of multiple cultures;benefits that our forefathers had never, ever dreamed of.

To end my speech,I would like to quote Rudyard Kipling again:

"All the people like us are We

  And everyone else is They

But once you cross over the sea

You will end by looking on We

As only a sort of They"

  Thank you.

篇十五:英语比赛演讲稿15

Honourable judges, ladies and gentlemen:

Good afternoon! Today I would like to talk about the importance of keeping opti

mistic. When we encounter difficulties in life, we notice that some of us choose to bury their heads in the sand. Unfortunately, however, this attitude will do you no good, because if you will have no courage even to face them, how can you conquer them? Thus, be optimistic, ladies and gentlemen, as it can give you confidence and help you see yourself through the hard times, just as Winston Churchill once said, "An optimist sees an opportunity in every calamity; a pessimist sees a calamity in every opportunity."

Ladies and Gentlemen, keeping optimistic, you will be able to realize, in spite of some hardship, there’s always hope waiting for you, which will lead you to the ultimate success. Historically as well as currently, there are too many optimists of this kind to enumerate. You see, Thomas Edison is optimistic; if not, the light of hope in his heart could not illuminate the whole world. Alfred Nobel is optimistic; if not, the explosives and the prestigious Nobel Prize would not have come into being. And Lance Armstrong is also optimistic; if not, the devil of cancer would have devoured his life and the world would not see a 5-time winner of the Tour De France.

A rose may be beautiful, or maybe not; that depends on your attitude only, and so does success, so does life. Hindrances and difficulties do exist, but if you are optimistic, then they are only episodes on your long way to the throne of success; they are more bridges than obstacles! Now I prefer to end my speech with the great British poet Shelley’s lines: "If winter comes, can spring be far behind?" Thank you!
